Question 2(c)

Has the sponsor specified that the material or information associated with the agreement/award will be export-controlled?

Are there references to an Export Control Classification Number (ECCN) or The United States Munitions List (USML)?

A great resource to assist in determining if a project has export-controlled material or information is the Bureau of Industry and Security Interactive Commerce Control List tool (found here).  This tool helps you to locate your item’s Export Control Classification Number (ECCN) by searching the keywords or focusing by category and product groups. After finding a potential ECCN match, expand the accordion to ensure your item fits the technical specifications listed. You may need to review several ECCNs to identify the right match.

The USML is a comprehensive catalog of defense articles, services, and related technologies designated as inherently military or space-related by the U.S. federal government.  The U.S. Munitions List (USML) is organized into exactly 21 categories. These categories dictate the defense articles, technology, and services subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
